The Department of Agriculture -Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) Regional Office VI hosted the National Year-End Finalization of the FY 2024 Financial Statements, gathering 94 participants including accountants, bookkeepers, budget officers, and finance heads from across the Bureau’s national and regional offices. DA-BFAR Finance and Management Division Chief Ma. Teresa Duguiles opened the activity, emphasizing the need for accurate and reliable financial reporting. Assistant Director for Administrative Services Zaldy P. Perez reminded participants, “Even a single centavo counts,” as he stressed accountability in financial documentation. Experts from the Bureau of Internal Revenue delivered technical sessions: Marian Claire Sangcada on withholding tax for government payments, Paul John Jamantoc on compensation tax, and John Christian Española on job order tax compliance.
